Welcome to the official website of the Theocracy of Xochimechatl. Xochimechatl is an island located in the western reaches of the Cislendian Ocean, to the west of the UPRMI and to the east of Melania. It is, as its official name suggests, a nation administered by religious authorities, based around beliefs and traditions unique to the island. There are three distinct peoples inhabiting Xochimechatl - the majority Couatlans, and the minority Chitec and Irominans.The Name of Our Nation
Our nation has many names, but for convenience, a single name, Xochimechatl, will be used when foreigners are involved. The name Xochimechatl is pronounced with five syllables, and is said "sho-khi-me-kha-tl". Up until the beginning of 302, the name chosen to use for foreigners was Couatl, but this name is no longer used outside the country.The name Xochimechatl is made up of three words from the Xochimechatlan language, and means "civilized homeland-isle". The full name of the country, the Theocracy of Xochimechatlan, is rendered in Xochimechatlan as "Zacatlapan Xochimechatl".
